Located in a region with strong wine-growing traditions dating back to the pre-Roman occupation, the vineyards of Quinta de Arcossó are installed on a hillside with convex exposure south to 400 meters altitude and with about 20% slope. In the soil of granitic origin, they grow carefully selected and adapted species of the region. All of the grapes are chosen by hand and all the wine is moved by gravity, no mechanical pumps are used anywhere in the winery. This combination of planning and meticulous care in the vineyards and the winery results in wine that this area of Portugal can take pride in. Sourced from a 100 year old vineyard, this is a field blend with Fernao Pires , Moscatel Galego and many more. Tropical fruit, citrus zest, lifted fine herbs and a faint stoniness. Medium bodied with good acidity and a long finish.
