This premium liqueur is made from a cold brew maceration of a pure origin Honduras Arabica coffee, giving warm, generous and toasted notes.
The coffee plant is an evergreen bush producing fleshy fruits that can be red, purple or yellow, called coffee cherries. These fruits have two stones, each containing a green coffee bean. Originally from the African continent, coffee is now cultivated in many countries with tropical climates, in America, Africa and Asia, and is exported worldwide.
Giffard has selected Lenca coffee from Honduras, a pure-origin Arabica, organic and fair-trade coffee harvested in the mountainous regions of Honduras. This coffee is a blend of several varieties (catuai, caturra, tipica, bourbon) which is then washed and not dried, revealing great aromatic intensity, freshness and subtlety. The Honduras coffee is roasted to order in France according to a craft know-how.
